UPDATE: TMX ZONES

As of Tuesday, May 18th, The Montgomery County Council approved transit mixed use (TMX) zones throughout our county. This means that within our neighborhoods the areas designated as TMX can also develop large retail stores along sites that border residential and single family homes!

This proposed zoning can still regulated by the county if we act now! The County Council is considering a text amendment that would prohibit the establishment of these larger retail centers within the TMX zone.
